Physical Preparation

Endurance, cardiovascular fitness, strength and sustained performance at altitude are essential.

Technical Skills

Depending on the mountain, climbers may require experience with crampons, ice axe techniques, fixed ropes, jumars, rappelling, glacier travel and technical climbing.

High-Altitude Experience

Previous experience at altitude is strongly recommended for major Himalayan objectives. Individual experience and climbing history may be reviewed during the application process.

Medical & Insurance Preparation
